It's the middle of August which means we have to say goodbye to the lazy days of summer. We are seeing less visitors as the school year starts and families get back into their normal routines. But its still hot and Captiva Water Sports will be open for anyone looking to have some fun on the water!

Hurricane Debbie passed by Sanibel & Captiva a few days ago as a tropical storm. We are so thankful that the system remained well off shore and, although our area saw a lot of rain and some isolated flooding, damage was minimal. All of us at Captiva Water Sports is praying for our neighbors to the north who saw a more drastic impact form the storm.
Captiva Water Sports closed Saturday in preparation for Debby but will reopen tomorrow, Thursday, August 08, for boat rentals. Hopefully, the gusty winds and surf will lay down enough that we will be able to open for all activities this weekend. Thanks to everyone who called or texted to check on us after the storm. We appreciate you concern and prayers. The Captiva Water Sports family is so happy to announce that we have reopened for parasail rides! As most of you know our islands were hit hard by Hurricane Ian in 2022 and we were forced to close our doors. Slowly, over the last year, we have been able to open for boat rentals, jet ski rentals, and jet ski tours. Finally, July 01, 2024, we were able to get back in the air. Come fly with us today and see the islands from a new perspective.
